I marked up some items on my charts to clarify some of the key price action pattern that I use in my Day Trading. Two of these pictures are 1st swing pullbacks into new lows that work out. One is a picture of a Dip Pop trade and the other is a marginal new high swing under a new all time prior trend high.
I identify a Dip Pop pattern as a up trend or down trend that shows End of Trend Negative Divergence. Price then falls but does not start a new down trend....

The X is a NO TRADE pattern. The square was a failed dip pop trade and the two circles are winning trades.

I just got done working on this research all day. I am keeping a spread sheet log to further increase my data sample. So far it solves the problem I was having. I wanted to make this educational video to share with any and all day traders out there looking to bring that win rate over 50%. Have a good day and happy trading.

I am currently reading, Trading in the Zone by Mark Douglas the famous trading psychology author who also wrote the book, The Disciplined Trader.
Both of his books are amazing and I highly recommend them to all traders. These are his five fundamental truths which relate to the mental skills required to be consistently profitable.
1. Anything can happen

For anyone who has not seen this film I recommend you watch it. It is a good documentary to add into your film library if you are a trader as well.
It is about the transition from floor trading into online computer trading that has taken place in the past 8 or 9 years. Great tool to educate your friends, children, and family about what you do at that computer all day.
