Anything to make a buck
One of the things I enjoy is to see the unique ways people will come up with to make money on ebay.
A couple I have seen that I thought was funny were-
Someone that lived in San Francisco was renting out their kid's body for advertisement. You would buy the right to dress the kid up in your advertising clothing and they would push the kid around the crowded city a certain number of hours a day on the weekends.
Someone selling their soul for cash.
Someone selling food with images on it.
Here is one I recently found-
Copper bullion! With the recent surge in the precious metals market, now you can buy base metal bullion on ebay. Wow, what a great idea- Invest for the future in base metals!
What kind of a great deal can I get? Copper is currently $4.16 a pound. How much is a troy ounce (1/12th of a troy pound) on ebay?
Only $5-$8!
What a deal!!!

The copper bullion thing cracked me up so much I not only bought one, I also bought one gram brass, and one gram tin bullion for 99 cents each lol.
Cheers

I have considered having copper coins made with some sort of label such as Forever Money lol.Quote:are u going 2 produce your own copper/brass coins and re-sell them on ebay?
I wouldn't mislead people though- I would clearly explain is was a novelty and not an investment or worth the money. I still think it would sell even after saying that (I paid $6 for 35 cents worth of copper didn't I? lol).
Cheers

hi tek, your copper links brought me 2 the silver products => ive just bought an 1oz silver coin (2008 australia, kookaburra) @ 28.01 €uros incl. 2 €uros shipping cost, its 36 cents cheaper than my 1 oz silver coins (2011 australia, year of the rabbit) ive bought at my favorite coin dealer yesterday
will prolly buy 2 more coins from the same dealer 2morrow and save some shipping costs
btw, at the fair on the 1st weekend in november ive just paid 22 euros for the rabbits ... thats inflation, u know?

Tough Times
A former tenant now in jail for theft said he did demolition work at night and the boss let him take scrap home, right. He reportedly was seen stripping the insulation from entire coils of new copper wire!
Also my attorney recently had a public defender appointment to represent someone accused of a similar crime.Posted 12-18-2010 at 09:22 PM by davek

I just realise that dad left a much bigger inheritance than I imagined. He was a plumber and in his day they used copper and brass pipes & fittings etc so I spend sometime in his old work shop uncovering weighing and sorting out this hidden treasure lol.
In Melbourne theives stole copper cable from the rail network and gave 1000s commuter the day off now the police run around the railway lines chasing theives all night long lolPosted 12-19-2010 at 04:01 AM by spiguru4u
