Wyckoff Course (Final Summary)

Posted 04-11-2011 at 01:29 PM by Magic [Show Appreciation] What's This?

The whole Wyckoff course is in Unit 1. (The charts discussed here are in VOL01.pdf and VOL02.pdf.) The otheres are supplements and practice.

Unit 2 is has some refinements to what has already been covered with a Quiz at the end of each section.

The Unit 3 pdf has the charts discussed in the lectures found in the Unit 3 folder. The folder has 12 lectures in mp3 and document format. There are some supplemental documents here as well.

Unit 4 is practice lessons.

I don't want to discount the rest of the material, but it is mostly personal. Each person has to personally do the practice. And each person has a unique financial position for trading. There are sections from fine-tuning your trading to setting up and running your own trading business. There are questionaires to help define your trading situation. And there are forms to track your performance.

I hope everyone has found this course helpful. And, if I can be of any further help, don't hesitate to ask.

Happy studying...

    Secondary points

    Magic,

When analyzing the 4 points of the end of a downtrend (preliminary support, selling climax, automatic reaction and secondary test) does the secondary test need to be above the bottom of the selling climax, at the selling climax or can it go below the selling climax? Assume the secondary test has small spreads with low volume,

    Ethan

    Good question, Ethan.

That would be ideal. But the important thing to look for in an ST is how much supply comes out. A lower price with a small spread with low volume tells you the crowd hasn't any supply left to sell.

It's good that you are not looking at the ST move in isolation. An SC is not the end of a down trend, it's just a signal it might be coming to an end. The trend usually continues a while after the SC. A successful ST, depending on the AR is usually below the SC - and signals the end of the down trend. If the AR is weak from too much supply still available there might not be an ST - the down trend might start again.

I hope this answers your question...

For those of you who don't have the complete Wyckoff Course, I've come across a source for you. I downloaded it myself to be sure I'm not posting erroneous links and it's everything that Magic posted earlier and more. So download it, study it and support Magic in informed discussions. It's better to discuss the study materials after reading them. Let's have a great study discussion with Magic.
These types of links sometimes get removed after a short time, so download them soon. I verified them by download the files on October 27, 2011.

Here's an instructional video on how to download from that website. Download all the links on the list and unzip them as a group. If you're looking for free stuff on the internet, this is a very common way people store their files for others to download.
