Default Where can I get seasonality charts of the S+P 500, Nasdaq and Dow?

I would like them to be free if possible. Looking for ones that overlay the 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 yr. avgs. for each index.

Heyya mate,

They're not free, but I've found that MRCI.COM has some of the greatest seasonal charts out there, and they do overlay the 5,10 and 15 year (sometimes longer) charts. I do believe that one should always - at least consider - seasonality. They are mainly constructed for Commodity Futures, but they do carry some for the spot rate on the S&P 500.

Something else that you may to look into? Are charts of 'tendencies' during bear markets. Since bear markets (such as the one we're in) in the S&P are not the norm? Some people compose charts of what typically happens in a bear market; that can prove quite useful.

I hope this helps ...

Regards,
Dan

Hi guys, I just finished all the basic videos on the site. They were fantastic and an account saver! I watched your videos Dan and that is why I am asking about these charts. I have never traded commodities or currency, just stocks. I would like to get involved in all that other stuff at a later time, but will stick with stocks until I get a better handle on them. I went to MRCI.com and saw $299 atthe top. Is that how much these charts cost? Man that is a tad expensive for me right now. I need to start making the dough first!

Yeah, that's what I had figured.

Generally, the charts that Dave linked to are just fine. That's generally what you'll find. A bottom in November, a bottom at the end of February, and weakness beginning at the end of May, and again at July 15th. A very small rally usually is found in August. September is usually the weakest month, followed by October.
