Default Options Trading Course Videos NOT Available

Hi,

The videos in the Free Courses list for the Options Trading Course are "We're sorry, this video is no longer available".

Can anyone drop a link that will allow me to view them.

Thanks for a great forum and taking the time to organize all those courses.

Hi Seanwhe,

Thanks for the heads up here it looks like one of the video providers for that page has disabled embedding which means they are no longer allowing people to show their videos outside of YouTube.

Although they are not ordered in the same way you can see those videos and many others on options on YouTube at the link below:

YouTube - Schaeffers's Channel

Best Regards,
Dave

Thanks David,

I know this has zero to do with trading.

I wonder why they would not want others to play their videos off YouTube. I mean surely they put up all that information, so that they can be seen. Anyway, I wonder ... I can download the files to my localhost ... I wonder if it is legal to upload them to another host like Amazon S3 and make the videos available again.

Looking through YouTube I see that there are other videos on Options which are able to embed. I will see if I can put together a new course with these videos.

Hey Seanwhe,

Thanks for the reply. I agree with you that there is little business reason not to allow other sites to embed their videos since the videos are already available for free on Youtube and by allowing other sites to promote them it should do nothing to increase their business.

With this being said I think that this concept of putting out good quality free content in order to promote your products is pretty new with the internet, so some are still caught up in the old ways of doing things and don't really understand this new paradigm yet.

To be honest with you I am not sure if it is legal or not to take the videos now that they have the embed feature disabled but since I am assuming they don't want people to since they have disabled it, I think we should respect their wishes.

I really appreciate your offer however of looking for some other videos that we can replace theirs with for the options course however as this is exactly the type of help that we need in order to make this site the best learning resource for everyone. If I can do anything to help you out with that please let me know.

Best Regards,
Dave
