I was wondering if anybody knows what the best settings are for shorter time frames such as 15min. and 5min. As far as I can gather its kind of a personal choice, I am currently set at 15,5,7

I use stoch's for entry at times and when I do, I'm a fan of FX Bootcamp's setup of 8, 3, 5. They use it in tandem with a slowed down MACD setting of 21,55,8 (to coinside with their use of the 21 and 55 EMA's). They also use a 5EMA/8SMA cross on shorter timeframes as an entry/exit that I think works quite well.

If you havnt gone to the site, you should check it out. They have plenty of free vids that help you see different ways of thinking.

Hi Guys
I also use that 8,3,5 setting at times. It's pretty much the only indicator setting I don't always use defaults on (besides adding bands in BBs).

Am using the slow stochastic in my chart, but want to know, what settings of it would be ideal for successful trade, which gives less whipsaws.

I posted this along time and since then I have changed my settings to 15, 5, 3, I dont know that it is the best but I have gotten use to it, seems to work well on all time frames, but it seems to be a personal preference
