best stochastic settings?

I was wondering if anybody knows what the best settings are for shorter time frames such as 15min . and 5min . As far as I can gather its kind of a personal choice , I am currently set at 15 , 5 , 7

jheiman66 -

I use stoch ' s for entry at times and when I do , I ' m a fan of FX Bootcamp ' s setup of 8 , 3 , 5 . They use it in tandem with a slowed down MACD setting of 21 , 55 , 8 ( to coinside with their use of the 21 and 55 EMA ' s ). They also use a 5EMA / 8SMA cross on shorter timeframes as an entry / exit that I think works quite well .

If you havnt gone to the site , you should check it out . They have plenty of free vids that help you see different ways of thinking .

Hi Guys
I also use that 8 , 3 , 5 setting at times . It ' s pretty much the only indicator setting I don ' t always use defaults on ( besides adding bands in BBs ).

Cheers
Tek

Tom , thanks for sharing that link ,

Am using the slow stochastic in my chart , but want to know , what settings of it would be ideal for successful trade , which gives less whipsaws .

Regards ,
Arvind
