Hi Brooklyn
This was for stocks (not options)? Were they OTC stocks (over the counter- usually these are very low priced stocks less than $1 a share)? For regular stocks TOS has 2 commission rates; you can get a $9.95 flat fee rate, or a .015 per share rate. If you take the per share rate and buy 800 shares, that was be $12. Could that be it? Cheers Tek |

Hi Tekmnd,
Actually I just calculated and everything was fine, but I still don't get it I sold short 500 shares of JASO @4.47 paying $7.5 in commissions per share and as I was about to close my position I checked my balance and the last digits were like $...97.50 so I figured out if I closed my position at this moment I'd be left with $...90 ($7.50 for commissions) but instead I was left with $...85How could that be? I think they take their commissions once you buy and then again once you sell. One more question, when numbers are in yellow in time and sales, what does that mean? Thanks |
