Lightbulb Review - 10 O'clock Bulls

Trading the 10 O’clock Bulls:
Winning Strategies for Active Traders
by Geoff Bysshe
72 pp PDF Free

Beginners, if you know the basics of charts and chart patterns, then this is the book for you. It would also be a great back-to-basics read for the more experienced trader.

Geoff Bysshe sets forth a strategy based on the Opening Range for a stock then uses it to walk through the basics of Trading. He solidly covers price, s/r and, volume of Price Action trading. Bulls, Bears and the undecided are highlighted as well as spotting movements by market makers averaging into a stock or "running the stops" for a quick scalp - required knowledge for Day Traders.

Using the OR as an indicator of sentiment, which he calls "the Driving Force behind all Major Price Moves", he moves on to Swing Highs and Lows and risk assessment with money mangaement. Included are several tactical methodologies for taking advantage of the OR strategy; trading the range, breakouts, and fades. For those tending to fall into analysis paralysis, my fovorite quote from the ebook is: "Good technical traders trade charts that make sense. They don’t try to make sense out of every chart."

Finally he devotes a chapter to scanning to find trading opportunities.

Magic,

I had heard about this concept but had never seen anything describing it. Thanks for sharing.

"I had heard about this concept but had never seen anything describing it."

Thanks Jeff,

Yeah it's old but a very good read. I've seen it mentioned here before and thought I would make it easier, for those in the community who are interested, to find. I have a lot more I'll post as time permits.

(I was amazed when I saw the review come up because I just put a link to the file and informedTrades substituted the ebook - ready to read.)

Hey EK,

"This book is great!" Yeah. I think it's an important book. Are you gonna give the OR a try?

"Posted 02:17 AM"! Looks like you were up half the night reading it.
