Default Apex Futures Review

ADDED: In addition to comments in this thread, try the links below for comments from other IT members as well regarding their experiences with Apex.

Who is the best commodities broker?
Apex -- good for daytrading?

***

For Futures Trading I am pleased to Recommend Apex Futures, a firm that has been serving futures traders worldwide for over 14 years, and offers traders the following advantages:

1. Customer Service. From my experience the reps are very patient with answering questions and, because they focus exclusively on the futures market, more knowledgeable about this market than other firms which offer multiple products.

2. Platform Ease of use. Because the platform only offers futures it is easier to use than some of the other platforms I have tried and designed in a way that is very intuitive in my opinion.

3. Transaction Costs:
For electronic markets like the E Mini S&P's which is the most popular among individual traders, they offer 1.99 per side commissions which with the level of support that they offer via phone if needed is a very competitive rate.

4. Low Margins:
For daytraders they offer $500 minimum margin requirements for the Emini S&P which is a lot lower than many other firms. I don't want to seem like I am encouraging people to follow poor money management, but particularly for daytraders this can allow them access to trade with proper money management and a smaller account than they would otherwise need.

If you would like a free realtime demo of the Apex Futures Trading Platform you can register for one at the link below:

I also cover how to place trades on their platform in my free futures trading course which you can find below:

As always if there are any questions or comments please feel free to post them in the comments section below.

Best Regards,
Dave

Default Apex Sign-up

15 steps to complete. And I have to fax my passport or driver's license. This is going to take a while....but I'm hoping for a really nice real-time streaming quote/chart platform and easy position ordering......

Hi Gunslinger,

Glad to hear from you.

Yes if you would like to open an account then unfortunately in the futures market as a whole the process is a little tedious. With this being said, you can try their platform out for free with demo money and realtime quotes using the link below:

Infinity AT Demo, Real Time, Futures Trading Platform, Apexfutures

That is the same platform that you will be trading on when trading live.

Hope that helps.

Best Regards,
Dave

I viewed their website and they do not seem to be among top brokers, I could not even find regulation, the link of demo account download platform redirects to other website.

However commissions are really low

Hi fxtrader777,

Glad to hear from you.

Apex is basically the discount brokerage division of a company called Infinity Futures which you can see here. This is the reason why the platform is called Infinity Trader and why the download redirects to their site.

As for regulation you can read about that on their "about us" page on the website which you can see below:

Commodity Futures, E-Mini Online Discount Broker, Trading Platform

In the futures market, because markets are traded on an exchange and client funds are segregated, the size of a broker is in my opinion not as important as in the forex market. In fact one of the reasons why I like Apex is because they are a smaller division of a larger firm so when I call I generally get to speak to the same people who are very knowledgeable about the futures market. This is in my opinion much more important than in the stocks or forex market, where things a in my opinion a little more straightforward than in the futures market where things like contract size, minimum tick value, settlement month etc vary from contract to contract. So, to make a long story short here, I feel that with Apex I get all the benifits of personalized service that they can offer, without giving up anything in terms of higher commissions or anything like that.

As always this is just my opinion and no one service is going to be right for 100% of all traders so ultimately its important to go with whatever firm you think meets your needs the best.

Hope that helps.

Best Regards,
Dave

I have tried the Apex platform demo and I really liked it. I am considering opening an account with them but I am a little worried about doing business with a small brokerage house (even though I know they are part of a bigger organization). I live in Europe and don't know much about US regulations. my the account segregated? What are my guarantees if the broker defaults? Is it easy to whithdraw money from the account? Are there any other special special issues I should be considering before doing business with a US based broker from overseas? Please forgive me if my questions seem a bit naive. Thaks for your help.

Hi PLiberati

ApexFutures is a NFA member and CFTC registered, which means all funds from our clients must be kept segregated. You can check on our registration on the NFA's website and look at information on the Financial Integrity of the US Futures Markets here: The Story Behind the Financial Integrity of the U.S. Futures Markets

We can send you a wire the same day if you request it before 11am CST.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hello David,

First of all congratulation on very good beginner chart reading videos, I like them very much and they are very helpful and said in easy to digest way! I have two question for you.

I am a beginner to the futures, I have covered most of the basics so far. I have watched quite a few live trading webinars from Rockwell Trading and I quite like their scalping techniques, they use Infinity Futures broker which uses InfinityAT platform same as APEX (TransAct) can you tell me anything about this Infinity Futures company, are they any good? on the net I have found some good reviews about them and I also have dealt with their customer service with very positive experience. I am on the demo at the moment and I really like InfinityAT and also ATCharts are quite ok, not so flexible as Trade Navigator but are free so probably would go with them at the beginning.

My second question doesn't fit to this category but have came across Rockwell Trading? and if yes, what do you think about them.

Best Regards
