Default Market Capitalization

Market Capitalization is the term used to describe the value of a company in terms of its outstanding stock. The market cap for a stock is calculated by taking the number of shares outstanding and multiplying it by the stock price. If for example a company has 1 Million shares of stock outstanding and its stock is trading at 100 dollars a share, then that company has a market cap of 100 Million dollars.
