Hi fm0530

There are 2 here, SSD and SFK, I choose SSD and changed the parameter to 10, 3, 3...Is it correct?
Settings on an indicator is a matter of personal preference. I recommend using the default settings though unless you understand what changing the settings will do.

The difference between SSD and SFK is that SSD is a slow stochastic, and SFK is a fast stochastic.
In general, the fast stochastic will give more signals and it will give them faster, but it is less accurate. The slow stochastic will give less signals, it will take longer for it to generate these signals, but they will be more accurate than the fast stochastic.

Also, how can I separate the RSI and Stochastic from each other on the chart? I used only colors to identify them.
What I like to do is open more than one chart at a time (I usually use 4 or 5), so the chart is not cluttered up with a lot of indicators. I have a chart or 2 without any indicators at all as well so I can just watch price without the indicator influencing what I see.

Well at the moment I go short: @1.139133, Stop: 1.39330, Limit: 1.38630...Is it correct?
It looks like you entered this order correctly if that is what you are asking.

Cheers
Tek

I'm new in Forex. I've finished all the videos on Module 2. I've noticed the chart you're using is quite different from what we're using right now...little bit confused.

Right now I'm making my own trading system (just practice or demo trading)...I want to trade on the daily chart. I used indicators such as EMA (5 & 10), Stochastic and RSI. I've no problem setting up EMA and RSI but the Stochastic is giving me headache. There are 2 here, SSD and SFK, I choose SSD and changed the parameter to 10, 3, 3...Is it correct? Which of them is suitable to use? Can I use them both putting them in my chart?

Hi again FM,

Very glad that you are so passionate about learning to trade. I like that!

Although i don't currently use indicators, i have experience with them so i'll try to help you. The SSD is the slow stoch and the sfk is the fast stoch. For settings of indicators of any type, be it moving averages, rsi, stoch, adx whatever, there's no correct and wrong setting. It is really up to you to set what you wish. I suggest, when you are just beginning, stick to the defaults. Don't try to play with it yet- you will get more confused. Learn how they work, understand how their operations applies to technical analysis and then actually use them to aid you trading.

As for the RSI and stoch being on the same mini chart, for marketscope, i don't know how to separate them. Its not really important to seperate them either.

Good that you are trying out entering trades. Again, there is no right trade to enter and no wrong one to enter. If there were a right trade to enter, everyone would be profiting and when there are no losers, there is no market right? Forex is basically wealth transfer-to be down to earth.

You will learn that in trading, you must trust yourself and because there are so much out there that you and all other traders don't know, it's easy to get overwhelmed by the information. So, i encourage you to continue going through David's courses because they have helped me in learning and it will help you too. Its a treasure mine here.

When i was starting out just 6 months ago, i was like you. So take it slow and steadily and you will be impressed with what you've learnt.
