Hi Dave,

Hoping you could advise me, as a new trader I want to take a trading course, I have taken a course by WIN investing which cost £2k and by the end of it I was a bit more knowledgeable but still was a very long way away from actually trade live or a demo account. I have found a company call the online trading academy (OTA) who sound really good but am still unsure as the old adage of once bitten, twice shy comes into play. I would really like to hear your opinion of them or if there is any one you could recommend if not them, their web site is Online Trading Academy - Online Trading - Trading Education - Trading School - Stock Trading - Day Trading.

thank you.

Iceman

Hi Iceman17,

Hope you are doing well.

I have never taken a course with OTA however I am familiar with them and do know that they are one of the bigger stock trading education firms out there. The other thing that I have heard about them that I think is pretty neat if its true is that they take part of your course fee and put it into a trading account which you trade live as part of the course.

Other than that I don't know too much so make sure you ask around a bit more.

Best Regards,
Dave

Cool, will do. Do you know any of their instructors? And also have you heard of the trader’s university, their web site is Traders University

I feel I’m ready to trade but I just need a mentor really, do have any suggestions or advise?

Hey Iceman17,

Sorry about the delay in reply.

Yes I spoke with him and he is accepting additional students. He is a forex trader who trades money live himself through a managed account program and is someone that I have known for several years. I am working with him so we can get him set up in the new "David's Friends" section of the site to offer his mentoring services through InformedTrades. If you would like to go ahead however the pricing for his services are as follows:

1 Session = $150 - 1hrs
4 Session package = $500 ($100 discount)
8 Session Package = $900 ($300 discount)

He conducts his lessons over the phone or online where you will learn how to:

Trade with Indicators
Find precise entry and exit points
Patterns in multiple time frames/markets
Identify market environments
Price action analysis
Proprietary strategies
Advanced money management tools
& build a successful trading psychology

Another thing that I like about his program is that he customizes it to the individual traders knowledge level so you get an approach that is tailored to work for you.

If you or anyone else is interested in this feel free to reply to the thread and I will put you in touch with him.

Best Regards,
Dave
