Thanks Dave for what appears to be a very well run and informative meeting place. I’m going to use this first post as an opportunity to introduce myself and post a chart and then go on to explain my motives.

My name is David, I’m a 60 + year old getting ready to retire and hope to trade Forex as a supplement to my income (viewing the market today though, I’d say that I’ve got a little more time to study my paper trading before retiring!).

I’ve traded stocks for years mostly “buy-n-hold” and have never tried technical techniques.

I’m working on a strategy (paper trading) and have not yet tried a demo.
There’s plenty to learn here and I appreciate all the hard work

Never believed it could be done but it happened. By using a Fx Hybrid and my own trade signals was able to make this money. While everyday people lose money in equities the forex is the Market of Modern Man. Equities are for dinosaurs so be happy your venturing into what is smart money investing for a number of reasons.
