Default Chart samples

I was wondering, this might be a good source to have on here but is there a site that has sample charts so we can identify the patterns ourselves and then check our answers with a trade wiz?

If nothing is like that here is how it could go down on this site.d For example a chart is posted and I reply and say there is 1 head and shoulders and 1 triangle. A couple of beginner traders post other similar things. Then a couple days later after the post the original poster of the chart posts the results that there were actually 2 triangles and 1 head and shoulders.

Hi Geoffism,

Thanks for the comment and for the suggestion. I am not aware of any sites that do this off the top of my head but I think it would be a nice addition to the course section of InformedTrades so I will add it to the "to do" list and hope to add this type of feature in the coming months.

Best Regards,
Dave

If I were more capable on my computer, I imagine I could take a "snapshot" of a chart with selected overlays and a few technical indicators concurrent running beneath the upper chart, and then I could post this "photo" within my original thread post.

I could say, "Here is what I'm seeing, blah, blah." Others would reply, "Me too, but also blah, blah."

A few hours/days/weeks later posters could come back and say, "See, this is how it turned out, etc."

I believe I'm seeing that on some blogs using the comments feature, but I gather the OP would like to see some of this here in the forum at Informed Trades.

Now for the major obstacle: How do I take those "snapshots" to copy and paste via computer when I haven't even mastered the digital camera I got for Christmas?

Might be a way for David not to have to put such undertakings on his own to-do list.

Hi FlyLadyFan,

I think this is a great idea and have posted a video here on how I go about posting charts to the site for anyone else who would like to do the same.

If you have problems or questions on how to do it after watching that let me know.

Best Regards,
Dave

Thank you, rocketman and Dave. I'll check those sources out and give it some practice.

Happy trading, FLF
