hi airelon,

good content - poor audio/video quality and there is always such terrible background noice. i hope there is no construction site or train station in front of your window :-)

p.s. 15,000 USD? i'm at minus 15,000 euros now, but hoping to break that creepy trend soon :-)

Yeah, I've improved the hardware a bit since this video was put up. Was using a crappier webcam, and my PC box (PW supply fan) was right next to the webcam mic.

Yeah, I estimate about 15k in USD.

@airelon: well, PC box (PW supply fan) + webcam mic next to each other? not a good combination :-)

btw, could you already recover from the huge single day losses with dow futures early this year? there were some nice weeks since than ... (someone posted your video in a german trading blog Daytrading.de - Täglich das beste aus der Welt des Tradings, Technischer Analyse und der Börse; as i remember your 'market commentary' consisted mostly of the words f*ck & mother f*cking millionaires who steal your money ;-). btw, i liked better your next day's 'lessons learned' video :-))

good luck,
j.

Yeah, didn't help my power supply was welding to the motherboard. You should see my "return from vacation video". That's when I found out how bad my poor power supply fans were working.

Actually, that video (Be aware, there's a lot of profanity in this one.) wasn't me, but I watched it. After I saw it, I was trying to tell that guy that his #1 problem was his lack of money management. Now that I think about it, we 'sort' of look similar. But no, that was someone else, I'm not sure what his name was but he was from "High Probability Trading". Now mind you, I lost a lot of money. But the 15k I lost, was through 1996 through 1998 or so. I got my head set straight right now, around 1999-2001.

If you look through the money management section here at Informed Trades, you'll see in Module 3 - money management principles is what I preach more than anything else. The early videos - the quality isn't the best. But those are the videos are what I consider the 'holy grail' - and I've been preaching those principles for years. Those principles are what stops the blowouts.

@airelon: yep, that is the guy i'was watching before (-25,000 usd in 1 day and NO money management (=MM)). thanX + sorry :-)
can you make up for your living expenses from trading?

good night + till tomorrow,
jaro.

p.s. in your interesting MM intro video, there is also a question to you, so i will 'move' it here :-)

i'm not greek or russian, BUT are you sure that 'pacis films' is a correct translation of the greek letters in the very beginning of your videos? why? i would expect 'PAXIS FILMS' instead ;-))

As far as for my living expenses. I'll be bluntly honest. Not 'quite' yet. Well, I probably could with no problem. But I don't want that stress quite yet. I'm one of those guys that doesn't want to spend $1.00 unless I have $10.00 behind me. So where I probably could? I just don't want to try to stress it, and add an emotional equation to my trading. My wife helps supplement our income and works (for now) as a Banker. The plan / goal - is that she stops working in December. (Psst, don't tell her, but I think I'm going to buy her a car on our 'review date' as a gift, and then we can hopefully have her stop working). I've thought about working for a fund, but not sure if I really want that change to my lifestyle and stress. Only persons money I'm responsible for right now? Is my own.

As far as Pacis Films? Yeah. You're right. That's something that was done a long time ago in my spare time, and has a bit of a story behind it when I was playing an online game. For videos we made, we'd put Pacis Films on the front. I mixed the Greek word for "Peace" and the Latin word for "Peace" into one. Don't ask me what I was thinking at the time. I just liked the idea of mixing two different things into one.

Good lesson here in my opinion for us all and especially people who are new to the markets on the importance of setting things up so that you don't psyche yourself out. Trading is pressure enough without having to worry about whether or not you are going to be able to cover your basic necessities or not. I have seen a lot of people in a similar situation that would have had their wife quit as soon as they thought they could make it off of their trading only to blow up because of the extra pressure involved in not having a buffer like Airelon is obviously building.

Best Regards,
Dave
