UK Market Closing Comments By IG Markets

Going into the last few minutes of trading the FTSE is sitting on a near 200 point gain as the market re-opens after a technical failure left it closed for most of today.

Of course it is difficult to say too much about UK stocks today as trading has been suspended since the early morning due to connectivity issues at the London Stock Exchange. Trading has recently restarted and the FTSE 100 is currently holding above the 5400 mark.
